Decadence

Very, very short entry tonight. I'm on my way out the door, at nearly 8:30, to go with 00 to Phoenix to celebrate my youngest son's birthday.

Yeah, I know, you don't hear much about him. Neither do I, and tonight I hopefully will remedy that at least somewhat.

We're going to see the movie Lemony Snicket. It has been a month of Sundays since I went to the movies, so I'm REALLY looking forward to it! Not to mention the fact that I'm looking forward to seeing my son.

I picked up the last of my Christmas gifts tonight. I had already bought clothing for my grandson but found a killer deal on a pirate play set - pirate's ship, swashbucklers, even a 'jail' door that opens. Very cute and very reasonably priced. He's nearly 5 years old - I can absolutely see him playing with this set. I know he doesn't have any shortage of toys, but I figured as rarely as I see him, so help me, I wanted to get him SOMETHING that's fun! If nothing else maybe we can leave it here at 00's place so he'll have something to play with while here.

Well, I'm off.

And I'm leaving, too! *Grins*

Before - After

In the grander scheme of things, no soul can truly be replaced. Each one of us has a place in the universal tapestry. We each contribute our own color and texture. When one thread is snipped too soon, it distorts all the threads around it. Other lives can unravel and tear. If the wrong thread is ripped away, the whole fabric of life becomes dangerously fragile.
