Merry Christmas SOB

Insert heavy, resigned sigh here.

So much for a day off tomorrow. Boss actually got huffy when the subject arose. Mind you, I asked him yesterday if we'd be working tomorrow, as the studios will have pre-recorded programming all day anyway. His comment yesterday was, "I don't see why you should come in." Today he said he didn't mean that, and mumbled some miserable excuse as to what he did mean. I didn't bother to listen, since obviously what he says has absolutely zero relevance.

00 had another bout with her ex about her son. He won't let her see her child for Christmas, and she's talked to lawyers and police who tell her she can't do jack shit about it. They don't have a custody arrangement so they can't (or more truthfully, won't) step in, despite the fact that she was evicted from her home with NO process and her son kidnapped from her. Her ex is a vicious sonofabitch who has hit her in front of witnesses. But the law doesn't care because she is female and can't afford a lawyer, so therefore she doesn't qualify for even the most basic rights. Throw in the fact that she nearly succeeded at a suicide attempt thanks to the SOB's brainwashing her to believe she's worthless, and he's now blackmailed her by reporting to authorities that she's unstable.

He'd better never meet up with me in a dark alley.

I have to go for now but I'm going to be back to rant further, so beware.

Before - After

In the grander scheme of things, no soul can truly be replaced. Each one of us has a place in the universal tapestry. We each contribute our own color and texture. When one thread is snipped too soon, it distorts all the threads around it. Other lives can unravel and tear. If the wrong thread is ripped away, the whole fabric of life becomes dangerously fragile.
