Best Laid Plans of Mice and Radio Addicts
So much for staying home today. I took 00 in to work this morning, wearing the same pair of shorts and tee shirt I'd been wearing yesterday (and slept in last night, if you can consider 15 minutes with your eyes closed sleep).
I came in to tell Boss I was going to be out again only the second I walked in the door, Traffic Girl hit me with a barrage of 'How do we...?'
Don't ever become a computer expert, or even computer-functional. You'll never have a moment's rest again.
It's now 11:30AM and I'm running more entry forms for our latest contest, doing some minor updates to the studio website, and in general... working. Despite swearing I wouldn't. Best-laid plans and all that rot.
Of course I can and do work on the website from home, but Boss has a bungie cord surgically attached to my ankle and knows I'll always get yanked back in because I know that there's work to do. Go figure.
Before - After
In the grander scheme of things, no soul can truly be replaced. Each one of us has a place in the universal tapestry. We each contribute our own color and texture. When one thread is snipped too soon, it distorts all the threads around it. Other lives can unravel and tear. If the wrong thread is ripped away, the whole fabric of life becomes dangerously fragile.
