Paperback_Bug

Ugh... Diaryland is having fun eating posts today. Figures.

The flu bug has bit in a big way, so this is going to be short. I'm spending maybe an hour or so at a time out of bed, if that. Thank God for working air conditioning. Can't imagine dealing with a swamp cooler this year.

I've spent virtually all of the past 24 hours in bed, most of it sleeping. And I'm heading back shortly, too, albeit this time with a cup of hot tea and a cheap paperback romance in hand.

So if I am gone, chalk it up to quality time spent with some gorgeous hunk on a deserted island - in print, of course - and laughing my butt off at the latest implausible plotline (or lack thereof).

Before - After

In the grander scheme of things, no soul can truly be replaced. Each one of us has a place in the universal tapestry. We each contribute our own color and texture. When one thread is snipped too soon, it distorts all the threads around it. Other lives can unravel and tear. If the wrong thread is ripped away, the whole fabric of life becomes dangerously fragile.
