Sleepless in Arizona
Let's not discuss how late it is and how determined I was to go to bed at a reasonable hour. It's late (or early, depending on your POV) and I'm still here. For now.
But celebrating. Two weeks on Atkins = two sizes lost in clothing. If that isn't incentive, I don't know what is!
But I need to get Dangerspouse's eggplant recipe. I don't know enough about them and when I cooked the ones I bought I cooked too long. Mushy eggplant, while the actual taste is pretty good, doesn't cut it. What I cooked will get puree'ed into soup, so it won't go to waste, but I want a decent recipe that tells me how long to cook it.
I'm going to call it a night for now, will try to write more if and when I'm ever coherent again. This past weekend was more than insane. Thank God my online job only has the really insane rollouts every couple of years or so!
If I haven't read your diary lately, I will try to catch up. The diet's working out but I'd about kill for a decent night's (uninterrupted) sleep. I finally took sleeping pills a few nights ago, anticipating no problems. Boss called me 7 times before 5am.
Before - After
In the grander scheme of things, no soul can truly be replaced. Each one of us has a place in the universal tapestry. We each contribute our own color and texture. When one thread is snipped too soon, it distorts all the threads around it. Other lives can unravel and tear. If the wrong thread is ripped away, the whole fabric of life becomes dangerously fragile.
