Crossing Guarded

Ahh, the glory of being home alone on a Monday night. Can you see me basking in it? Technically this is my second entry for the day - my first having been completed at 2am. This one's going online (hopefully!) at a little more realistic hour.

No council meeting tonight, thank goodness. And Youngest Daughter has moved out, though a lot of her stuff is still here. I got the kitchen cleaned yesterday, though now I'm out of dish soap, so can't do dishes again until I buy some more. Notice how I'm rushing out to do that.

00 was sick today so I was doing her job and mine. Boss was in a crummy mood today, no big surprise there. I am just crossing my fingers, eyes, toes, and everything else, that I can get another job and get the heck out of here, the sooner the better.

I'm feeling better, myself. Still coughing, though not NEARLY so much. Seems like the cough invariably lingers whenever I catch a cold. Leftovers from all the bouts with bronchitis as a kid, I guess, though in general I'm reasonably healthy these days. I get the sniffles and colds, but that's part of life.

Well, I'm off to try and design a web page for a friend of a friend and hope that I can get something that looks presentable.

Before - After

In the grander scheme of things, no soul can truly be replaced. Each one of us has a place in the universal tapestry. We each contribute our own color and texture. When one thread is snipped too soon, it distorts all the threads around it. Other lives can unravel and tear. If the wrong thread is ripped away, the whole fabric of life becomes dangerously fragile.
