How To Tutu
Quick entry today - I'm at work and really don't have a lot of time, but I will let you know how to add a sound player to the page like I did on yesterday's entry. (And thanks for the comment, D-Man. I'm not offended if you say my voice sounds sexy, hehehe. I make my living with my voice so it had BETTER be good!)
The code to add a little sound console is this:
<div align="center"><embed src="http://www...mp3" controls=smallconsole width=200 height=22 autostart=false loop=false align=center></div>
Be careful about adding a sound file to your page, though. The one I used was only 87K, about the size of a large picture. Some, even mp3's, can be nearer 5000K. That's 5,000,000 bytes, more or less. That's a whole lot to download, and it pretty much freezes the page up while it downloads.
I used Audacity to record and convert to an .mp3 format, then uploaded to my web space OFF of Diaryland. An important note: in addition to the download time, you'll eat up all of your Diaryland space with just one or two sound files, so if you're going to use one, better to upload it where you've got more space.
Before - After
In the grander scheme of things, no soul can truly be replaced. Each one of us has a place in the universal tapestry. We each contribute our own color and texture. When one thread is snipped too soon, it distorts all the threads around it. Other lives can unravel and tear. If the wrong thread is ripped away, the whole fabric of life becomes dangerously fragile.
