Saturday Not In The Park
It's a good thing it's the weekend, because when I got up this morning, my voice was totally gone, kaput. It's been funny; because I can only whisper, MC has been whispering today, too. He isn't mocking me - it's just automatic. When he catches himself doing it, he changes to a normal voice, at least most of the time. We were laughing about the fact that it's going to be a mighty quiet weekend!
I slept most of the day, in fact, just getting up long enough to nuke us some lunch. I did eventually acquire enough energy to shower and move around a little. MC reclaimed the sofa to watch NASCAR, since the on-again off-again race is on again, at least for the moment. It seems that Tennessee has been getting snow all day, which hasn't played nice with the racing plans.
This is going to be a very short entry, because thanks to a combination of the cold and the cold meds, I have the attention span of a gnat on speed.
A quick reference to my last post. For the record - because I guess I didn't clarify before - I'm the one who does the hiring and firing at the radio station. I'm the manager. The only exception would be if someone were hired to replace me, which would go through the station owner.
Before - After
In the grander scheme of things, no soul can truly be replaced. Each one of us has a place in the universal tapestry. We each contribute our own color and texture. When one thread is snipped too soon, it distorts all the threads around it. Other lives can unravel and tear. If the wrong thread is ripped away, the whole fabric of life becomes dangerously fragile.
