Sales Pitched Out
I really have to make this short, because I have to help with packing, give Toby the Wonder Dog a haircut, and so on.
Ever put your resume online? Ever look at some of the responses that get sent out to EVERYONE? I got a pitch from some bank, wanting me to do sales for them. If it paid what it claims, I might even consider it. But having gone down that sales road before, I can safely say it ain't for me.
Sales can definitely pay well, I can vouch for that. But the ulcer is a trade-off and if I was doubled over after just three months at the paper, I would hate to think what it would be in a place where the income levels jump by that much.
Besides which, the job is in Phoenix and I can't afford to rent a place in Phoenix in order to do the job.
So I'll have to pass.
In other not-news, I am hoping I can get a decent-paying job in Tucson, tuit suite. Aside from wanting the little things, like our own place, I want to get MC's laptop fixed or get him a new one. We've both heard so damned many promises about this and that, we kind of take things with a grain of salt. But I know at least that the job market in Tucson is stronger than the one here. And if I have to get something sales-related there to fill in for a few months, I can deal. We have a place to stay and it should only be a short while there until we're a two-income family.
THAT is my idea of a miracle.
Before - After
In the grander scheme of things, no soul can truly be replaced. Each one of us has a place in the universal tapestry. We each contribute our own color and texture. When one thread is snipped too soon, it distorts all the threads around it. Other lives can unravel and tear. If the wrong thread is ripped away, the whole fabric of life becomes dangerously fragile.
